Day 1:
Nairobi
- Upon your arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, our representative will warmly welcome you and transfer you to your Nairobi hotel, where you will check in and have some time to freshen up and relax.
- In the late afternoon, embark on a city tour, starting with a visit to the enchanting Giraffe Centre, where you can get up close and personal with the majestic Rothschild giraffes.
- Next, explore the Karen Blixen Museum, which was once the home of the famous author of “Out of Africa,” and learn about her life in Kenya.
- You will also head out for a drive going through major landmarks like the Nairobi National Museum, Parliament Buildings, and Kenyatta International Conference Centre.
- Conclude the day with a visit to the Maasai Market known for its variety of traditional African crafts, jewelry, clothing, and more.
- In the evening return to your hotel for bed and breakfast.
Day 2:
Nairobi to Olpejeta
- On this day you will be picked up from Nairobi and commence your journey to Olpejeta.
- Enjoy a scenic drive through the Kenyan countryside, stopping at the Equator Line for a photo opportunity.
- You will arrive in time for lunch at your camp/lodge. Settle in and enjoy a delicious lunch while taking in the stunning views.
- After lunch freshen up and embark on your first exhilarating game drive in the golden light of dusk.
- Search for iconic wildlife like black rhinos, elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, and cheetahs as they come alive after the heat of the day.
- Learn about Ol Pejeta’s conservation efforts from your knowledgeable guide while enjoying the vibrant colors of the African sunset.
- In the evening return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 3:
Olpejeta to Samburu
- After breakfast check out of your hotel and drive to Samburu.
- You will arrive in time for lunch and head to the Samburu hotel.
- After lunch relax in the hotel, head out for a nature walk or go for an afternoon game drive.
- Explore Samburu National Reserve for a unique safari experience with diverse wildlife including Grevy’s zebras, reticulated giraffes, and rare bird species, set against a picturesque landscape along the Ewaso Ng’iro River,
- After the game drive head back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 4:
Full day in Samburu
- On this day rise up early and head out for a game drive in Samburu National Reserve. Expect to see Grevy’s zebras, reticulated giraffes, lions, leopards, and elephants. Look out for crocodiles and hippos near the Ewaso Ng’iro River.
- After the game drive head to the hotel for lunch.
- After lunch continue your game drive or visit a local Samburu village for a cultural experience.
- In the evening head back to the hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 5:
Samburu to Lake Nakuru
- After breakfast check out of your hotel and head to Lake Nakuru National Park.
- Upon arrival check into your camp/lodge, have lunch and freshen up.
- After freshening up embark on a game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, known for its flamingos and rich birdlife. Keep an eye out for rhinos, buffalos, giraffes, and more.
- In the evening return to your hotel for dinner and overnight
Day 6:
Nakuru to Masai Mara
- After breakfast check out of your hotel to Masai Mara.
- In the afternoon you will arrive in Masai Mara and check into your camp/lodge where you will have lunch and freshen up.
- After freshening up embark on a game drive to explore the wildlife-rich reserve.Masai Mara is renowned for its abundance of wildlife, including the Big Five (lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, and rhinoceros).
- On this day you will also get an optional chance to visit a local Maasai village to learn about their culture and traditions.
- In the evening return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 7:
Full day in Masai Mara
- On this day rise up early for a sunrise game drive when animals are most active. This is a great time for experiencing the wildlife in the beautiful morning light.
- After the game drive return to your camp/lodge for a hearty breakfast.
- In the afternoon head out for another game drive in a different area of the reserve to spot more wildlife.
- Sightings to expect lions, leopards, elephants, buffalos, rhinoceros (The Big Five), the Great Migration, cheetahs, giraffes, hyenas, gazelles, antelopes, diverse birdlife, hippos, crocodiles, African wild dogs, and abundant wildebeests and zebras.
- In the evening return to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.
Day 8:
Masai Mara to Nairobi
- On this day go for an optional hot air ballon ride followed by breakfast.
- After breakfast check out of your hotel towards Nairobi to arrive in the afternoon.
