Ready to experience the best of Kenya and Tanzania in one breathtaking safari? This 10-day journey takes you through the most iconic landscapes in East Africa—from the serene waters of Lake Naivasha and flamingo-filled Lake Nakuru, to the legendary plains of the Masai Mara and Serengeti, down into the wildlife-rich Ngorongoro Crater and the cultural heart of Lake Eyasi.
From close encounters with giraffes to walking alongside zebras, from thrilling game drives to ancient tribal connections—this trip is packed with unforgettable moments.
Day 1: Welcome to Nairobi – Giraffes & Culture
Stay: Pride Inn Azure, Nairobi
Welcome to Kenya! Upon arrival in Nairobi, we’ll meet you at the airport and take you straight into your first taste of Africa. Start with a visit to the Giraffe Centre, where you can hand-feed the endangered Rothschild giraffes. Then we’ll head to the Nairobi National Museum, a great place to explore the culture, history, and biodiversity of Kenya. Settle in and relax at Pride Inn Azure as you prepare for the wild days ahead.
Day 2: Journey to Lake Naivasha – Rift Valley Views & Hell’s Gate
Stay: Lake Naivasha Sopa Resort
After breakfast, we’ll drive you down the dramatic escarpments of the Great Rift Valley. We’ll pause for scenic views before reaching Lake Naivasha, where you’ll enjoy a peaceful boat ride alongside hippos and birdlife. In the afternoon, visit Hell’s Gate National Park, one of the only parks in Kenya where you can walk or bike among zebras, giraffes, and gazelles. It’s an active, up-close safari experience like no other.
Day 3: Lake Nakuru National Park – Rhinos, Flamingos & Forest Trails
Stay: Lake Nakuru Sopa Lodge
Today, we head to Lake Nakuru, a haven for flamingos and one of the best spots in Kenya to see endangered black and white rhinos. Explore the park’s rolling hills, forests, and the scenic Baboon Cliff, which offers stunning views of the lake. You’ll also spot lions, buffalo, and possibly even a leopard lounging in the trees.
Day 4: Into the Wild – Welcome to the Masai Mara
Stay: Zebra Plains Mara Camp
After breakfast, we venture deeper into the wild, heading toward Masai Mara Game Reserve—one of Africa’s greatest wildlife destinations. Arrive in time for an afternoon game drive and your first real taste of the Big Five. Lions, elephants, giraffes, and herds of antelope dot the golden plains, especially dramatic during the Great Migration season.
Day 5: Full-Day Safari in the Masai Mara
Stay: Zebra Plains Mara Camp
Wake up early for a full day on safari in the Masai Mara. The vast plains are teeming with wildlife—from large lion prides to elusive leopards and playful cheetah cubs. Want something magical? Take to the skies in a sunrise hot air balloon and float above the Mara, ending with a champagne breakfast in the bush. You can also visit a Maasai village and learn about their proud culture and traditions.
Day 6: Cross the Border – Into the Serengeti
Stay: Signature Serengeti Luxury Tented Safari Camp
Today you’ll cross the Isebania border into Tanzania. After a scenic drive and border formalities, we’ll continue straight into the Serengeti National Park. Even the journey to your camp is a game drive in itself! Keep your camera ready for lions, wildebeest, and maybe even a cheetah or two.
Day 7: Full-Day Safari in the Serengeti – Big Cats & Endless Plains
Stay: Signature Serengeti Luxury Tented Safari Camp
Get ready for a full day of game drives across the Serengeti, one of the most celebrated wildlife regions on the planet. Whether it’s the drama of a lion hunt, the elegance of a giraffe herd, or the mass movement of the Great Migration (season-dependent), every moment in this park feels like a scene from a nature documentary.
Day 8: Into the Ngorongoro Crater – Wildlife in a Natural Bowl
Stay: Ngorongoro Farm House
After breakfast, journey to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a lush volcanic caldera packed with wildlife. You’ll explore the crater floor in search of black rhinos, lions, elephants, hippos, and flocks of flamingos. It’s one of the few places where the Big Five are all within reach in a single day.
Day 9: Culture & Connection at Lake Eyasi
Stay: Kisima Ngeda Camp, Lake Eyasi
Today is about people and tradition. Travel to Lake Eyasi, where you’ll meet the Hadzabe tribe, one of the last true hunter-gatherer communities in Africa. You’ll join them on a morning hunt, witness their traditional way of life, and gain insight into a culture that has remained unchanged for generations. An eye-opening and deeply human experience.
Day 10: Farewell East Africa – Departure Day
After a final breakfast, we’ll transfer you to Arusha or Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight home. You’ll leave with photos full of lions and elephants, memories of warm campfires, and the rhythms of East Africa forever in your heart.
